Hepatitis B vaccine: Coverage remains unchanged following ACIP update

(December 16, 2025) On December 5, 2025, the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted to use individual/shared clinical decision‑making for the hepatitis B (HepB) birth dose for infants born to women who test negative for HepB. Cigna Healthcarecontinues to cover the HepB vaccine at no cost and our coverage policy has not changed.

Payment calendars for electronic funds transfer (EFT)(December 11, 2025) Providers can choose to receive their claim payments from Cigna Healthcare by enrolling in electronic funds transfer (EFT) at no charge, eliminating paper check mail delivery and handling. (December 1, 2025) Effective January 1, 2026, the Companionship+ benefit offered by Homethrive will no longer be offered. Homethrive will continue to administer virtual caregiver support for your patients with HealthSpring Medicare Advantage coverage in the 2026 benefit year.
