Program streamlines credentialing, enhances provider experience, and improves efficiencies across the health care system

CertifyOS has announced the launch of its National Shared Credentialing Program, a first-of-its-kind credentialing model designed to reduce redundancies and streamline the provider verification and credentialing process.

Cigna Healthcare is among the initial group of national health plans to commit to the program which creates a centralized credentialing approach intended to improve operational efficiency and support timely access to care.

How it works

Participating health plans share recredentialing rosters with CertifyOS and CertifyOS independently administers the credentialing process to reduce duplicative provider outreach and administrative burden while performing primary source verification at NCQA and Medicaid standards across all licensure states.

Through CertifyOS’s portal, providers enter their CAQH ID and required information once.

The service is slated to launch in fall 2026.
