The Cigna Group champions Workforce Mental Health Summit, stressing importance of employer support
(May 27, 2025) Mental health is a top issue in the U.S. and there is a growing need for support to allow communities, individuals, and businesses to thrive. That was the key message at the April Workforce Mental Health Summit in San Francisco championed by David Cordani, chairman and CEO of The Cigna Group®, and panelists that included Olympic champion gymnast Simone Biles.
Addressing health care provider workplace violence

(May 16, 2025) Collectively, behavioral health Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) measures help ensure that your patients receive affordable quality care when and where they need it most. Initiation and Engagement of Substance Use Disorder Treatment, one of the behavioral health HEDIS measures, uses two measurements to improve rates at which individuals with a substance use disorder initiate and engage in treatment.
Adoption of LOCUS and CALOCUS-CASII criteria in New York postponed
(May 12, 2025) The adoption of the Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) for adults and the Child and Adolescent Level of Care/Service Intensity Utilization System (CALOCUS-CASII) criteria in New York by Evernorth® Behavioral Health has been postponed. Until further notice, Evernorth will continue using MCG Behavioral Health Guidelines to conduct mental health level of care medical necessity reviews for commercial health plans in New York, unless federal or state law requires the use of other specifically identified clinical criteria.
