Tips to help you submit prior authorization requests quicker with the HSConnect provider portal

We are committed to helping reduce the time you and your office staff spend on administrative tasks. To ensure your prior authorization requests are processed in timely manner, please do the following:

  • Submit prior authorization requests through the provider portal: Register for the HSConnect provider portal to streamline your prior authorization requests. This digital platform significantly improves processing speed and efficiency. You can register by visiting our portal directly. To register, click here.
  • Search with National Provider Identifier (NPI): When searching for requesting and servicing providers in the provider portal, always use the individual NPI rather than the group NPI. For detailed guidance, see the quick reference guide attached.
  • Network Status: Some providers are temporarily showing as out-of-network in the provider portal. Continue with your request regardless of the provider network status. Our clinical team is performing secondary verifications to confirm network status.
