Cigna Pathwell Specialty® is for patients using specialty medication to treat complex medical conditions. As part of this program, certain medications must be administered by a provider that participates in the Cigna Pathwell Specialty program or ordered from an in-network specialty pharmacy to be covered.
As part of our ongoing review, we periodically update the Pathwell Specialty drug list.

Effective March 9, 2026, the following drugs were removed from the Pathwell Specialty drug list:
What this means for providers
For the medications listed above, a Pathwell Specialty designated provider is no longer required for administration or acquisition. Standard prior authorization process for medical necessity will continue to apply according to the patient’s plan benefits. Additional information
Medications not included on the Pathwell Specialty drug list are not required to be administered by a Pathwell Specialty designated provider.
