Effective July 1, 2025, a new network option, the Open Access Plus (OAP) New Jersey (NJ) Network, supports customers with Cigna Healthcare^® Garden State plan coverage. Customers with this plan coverage are required to use in-network providers with service locations in the state of New Jersey only.

With the exception of emergency services, care provided to customers with Garden State plan coverage outside of the state of New Jersey is not covered and claims will be denied. Patients will be financially responsible for paying the entire cost of billed services out of pocket.

In-network OAP NJ providers will continue to have access to the same resources, including online capabilities through the Cigna for Health Care Professionals portal (CignaforHCP.com), submission processes, and health advocacy programs that can engage patients in wellness initiatives to help them manage chronic conditions.

The Cigna.com online directory will be updated to list in-network OAP NJ providers. The sample ID card images below will help you to identify which of your patients are required to access services through the OAP NJ Network.
