Effective October 31, 2026, EviCore by Evernorth will transition prior authorization requests for certain Cigna Healthcare services from the MedSolutions portal to the CareCore portal on EviCore.com. Providers must submit prior authorization requests for the following services through the CareCore portal on EviCore.com:

• Cardiology
• Radiology (High Tech Imaging)
• Joint Surgery
• Pain Management

After October 31, providers will be able to view and edit cases previously created in MedSolutions, but all new cases will need to be created in the CareCore portal.

What isn’t changing

This transition only affects the portal used to submit prior authorization requests. There are no changes to:

• Program requirements
• Clinical review processes
• Covered services
• Existing prior authorization criteria

Accessing the CareCore portal

Providers can access the CareCore portal through EviCore.com using their current EviCore login credentials. New credentials are not required for existing users. Providers who do not currently have an EviCore account will need to create one to access the CareCore portal.

Users can navigate between the CareCore and MedSolutions portals from the EviCore dashboard without separate login credentials.

Training and resources

EviCore will offer orientation and training sessions to help providers and their staff prepare for the transition. Sessions will include an overview of the CareCore portal, account access information, and opportunities to ask questions. Registration is required.  Providers impacted by this change received an email with more details on the training sessions available to them.
