The guide for in-network facilities and physicians, which covers policies and procedures regarding the management of these services, includes updates to medical checklists and contacts.

Cigna Pathwell Specialty: Changes to the drug list

The Cigna Pathwell Specialty drug list has been updated. Cigna Pathwell Specialty is an in-network-only benefit plan option for patients using a specialty medication to treat a complex medical condition. Certain medications must be administered by a Cigna Pathwell Specialty-designated provider or ordered from a Cigna Pathwell Specialty-designated pharmacy to be covered. Cigna Specialty Care Options programs drug list expansion

The Cigna Specialty Care Options (SCO) and Cigna Specialty Care Options Plus (SCO+) drug lists have been updated. The SCO and SCO+ programs identify customers whose nononcology and oncology specialty medications are being administered in a higher-intensity setting (e.g., outpatient hospital) to determine whether a less-intensive site of care is clinically appropriate. Specialty Medical Injectables with Reimbursement Restriction

(February 5, 2026) The Specialty Medical Injectables with Reimbursement Restriction list has been updated. Guidelines state that certain injectables must be dispensed and their claims must be submitted by a Cigna Healthcare–contracted specialty pharmacy, unless otherwise authorized by Cigna Healthcare. Submit precertifications requests online – now available on CignaforHCP.com

As of December 8, 2025, users with “Patient Search” entitlement can now submit precertification (i.e., prior authorization) requests directly on the CignaforHCP.com portal—a capability that helps to streamline workflows and reduce administrative burden. This major enhancement represents another step in Cigna Healthcare’s commitment to simplify the care experience for our customers and providers.

Immunization Fee Schedule (NIIFS) quarterly update

The 2026 first quarter Cigna Healthcare National Injectable and Immunization Fee Schedule (NIIFS), which is used to reimburse professional and facility providers for payment of injectable drugs and immunizations, has been updated, effective February 1, 2026.
