Cigna Healthcare continues to make updates to provider access points to streamline routine business processes and relieve administrative burden for network-participating providers and practice staff.  

Beginning November 1, 2023, Medicare providers were given access to access to the Cigna for Health Care Professionals website (CignaforHCP.com) for certain practice support processes formerly conducted via Claimstat.

As of January 1, 2024, CignaforHCP.com replaces the Claimstat provider portal used by participating providers in Arizona for their patients with health maintenance organization (HMO) and preferred provider organization (PPO) Medicare Advantage plan coverage. Arizona providers will use CignaforHCP.com for certain functions such as:

• Checking eligibility and benefits with up to two years of historical data.
• Submitting prior authorization requests.
• Viewing patient identification cards.
• Checking claim status with up to two years of historical data.
• Access remittance.

The transition from Claimstat to CignaforHCP.com offers a convenient and streamlined single point of access for transactions related to practice business. It offers a turnkey solution for providers — who already use CignaforHCP.com for their patients with commercial plans — to use for their patients with Medicare Advantage plans.

Related business process changes

Concurrent with the shift to CignaforHCP.com for certain practice support business functions, providers will notice some changes to processes, communication methods, and information you receive from Cigna Healthcare Medicare Advantage for your Arizona patients. These changes include:

• Claims addresses.
• Claims communications and payment timing.
• Explanation of payment (EOP).
• Claims edit code wording.
