The Cigna Healthcare^SM Medicare Advantage Provider Manual for in-network physicians, hospitals, ancillaries, and other providers has been updated for 2025.

The manual includes key regulatory topics, such as customer rights and responsibilities, provider participation and credentialing requirements, quality improvement programs, medical management, pharmacy management, compliance, claim processing, payment, and appeals. It can be accessed via the Cigna Healthcare for Medicare Advantage Providers website (MedicareProviders.Cigna.com).

Things to know for 2025

• HSConnect and the Cigna for Health Care Professionals website (CignaforHCP.com)¹ offer the most efficient access to prior authorization inquiries and patient demographics and eligibility. 
• The primary care provider’s name and phone number have been removed from Cigna Healthcare ID cards for health maintenance organizations.
• Cigna Healthcare Medicare Advantage provider payments will continue to be issued at the Taxpayer Identification Number/type 2 (billing) National Provider Identifier level for all rendering providers with claims being finalized on the same day. This will be reflected in the explanation of payment and electronic remittance advice.
