To support our customers who are breastfeeding, we have created a national lactation counseling network with Aeroflow Healthcare and Wildflower Health. When your patients with Cigna Healthcare-administered plans use this network of providers to access this preventive service, it will be covered at 100 percent with no cost share. Coordination of benefits will apply if Cigna Healthcare is not the primary payer.

When and how to access services

Your patients can access services during the third trimester of pregnancy and throughout the postpartum period (including when they return to work). Online and virtual services are available seven days a week, 365 days a year, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (ET), with same-day appointments available.

Language support

For patients who need support in a different language, live translators are available for more than 200 languages.

Refer your patients to participating lactation counseling providers

This will enable your patients with Cigna Healthcare-administered plans to take advantage of the full power of their benefit plan. There is no coverage, or only limited coverage, for lactation counseling services rendered by nonparticipating providers, depending on the patient’s out-of-network benefit. If your patient needs in-person care and a participating provider cannot be found, please call the phone number on the back of the patient’s Cigna Healthcare ID card.
