May 15, 2024

Earn a certificate or attest to advanced training in psychosocial oncology

Thank you for responding to Evernorth Behavioral Health’s call-to-action to improve patient access to behavioral health providers with specific training in cancer and oncology.

Evernorth is committed to offering our customers and their caregivers going through a cancer diagnosis access to providers with specific training in cancer and oncology.  By taking one of the action steps below, your Evernorth provider directory profile will be updated to include a cancer/oncology subspecialty designation.

For providers wishing to gain more education in behavioral therapeutic oncology

Evernorth has partnered with the American Psychosocial Oncology Society (APOS) to offer participating behavioral health providers a discounted rate for completing the Psychosocial Oncology Knowledge and Skills Certificate Course (16.75 CE hours).  The on-demand course, which can be completed in just 30 hours, is being offered at a discounted rate of $199 (over $400 in savings).

Get started today – the special discount for Evernorth providers ends September 30!

  1. Register for the certificate course (administered by TPN Health) by creating an online profile here: Psychosocial Oncology Knowledge and Skills Certificate Course | TPN.health
  2. Select Non-APOS Member and enter the discount code: aposrate2024evernorth
  3. Click “continue to checkout” and enter payment for the discounted rate of $199
  4. Begin/view the course at your convenience.

For providers who have specialized experience or other training in psychosocial oncology care

Behavioral health providers who have completed a formal training program other than the APOS Psychosocial Oncology Knowledge and Skills Certificate Course, or have substantial experience in supporting people with cancer and their caregivers, can complete the Evernorth Attested Specialty Form to earn the subspecialty designation.
