1. When will Evernorth Behavioral Health decommission its relationship with OHP?
Evernorth Behavioral Health will decommission its relationship with OHP’s SSO service on November 19, 2024.
2. Why is Evernorth Behavioral Health decommissioning its relationship with OHP?
In first quarter 2024, OHP announced that it had entered into receivership. As a result, Evernorth Behavioral Health will decommission its relationship with OHP.
3. What service does OHP provide?
OHP allows providers to use its SSO platform to access multiple payer’s portals, such as Provider.Evernorth.com.
4. Why must providers who use OHP SSO register for Provider.Evernorth.com?
Providers who use OHP SSO must register for Provider.Evernorth.com and identify a website access manager prior to November 19, 2024, or they will not be able to access the portal. In addition, if providers do not use EDI, they will not be able to administer patient benefits such as, checking eligibility, benefits and claims status, and submitting claims for appeal and/or adjustment on the portal(s). Providers can still check benefits and eligibility and claims via EDI transactions.
5. What happens if an affected provider does not know if they have a website access manager?
Affected behavioral providers should contact our Internet Customer Service Advocate team at 888.736.7499 and press “1” for provider if they cannot identify a website access manager.
6. Will patients experience gaps in care if their provider does not register for Provider.Evernorth.com?
Yes, but only for portal verifications. If an affected provider does not register for Provider.Evernorth.com prior to November 19, 2024, the provider will not be able access the portal. In addition, if providers do not use EDI, they will not be able to administer patient benefits such as checking eligibility, benefits and claims status, and submitting claims for appeal and/or adjustment on our portal(s). Providers can still check benefits and eligibility and claims via EDI transactions.
7. Can providers who use OHP SSO be grandfathered to gain access to Provider.Evernorth.com?
No. Providers who use OHP SSO cannot be grandfathered to gain automatic access to Provider.Evernorth.com. They must register for the portal prior to November 19, 2024, for uninterrupted access.
8. What is the schedule of webinars to support affected providers during the OHP SSO decommission?
Two different one-hour webinars have been developed to support providers during this transition. See below for webinar information and directions to pre-register (required).
