Cigna Healthcare® Medicare Advantage is partnering with Availity Essentials™* for streamlined and enhanced online capabilities.

Beginning April 1, 2025, you can start using Availity Essentials to perform the following functions for your patients with Cigna Healthcare Medicare Advantage coverage:

• Verify eligibility and benefits
• Verify primary care provider
• View customer ID cards
• Submit professional and institutional claims
• Check the status of claims
• View remittance advice
• Access specific Cigna Healthcare Medicare Advantage links, including prior authorization and resources, through a dedicated payer space

Moving to Availity Essentials

The HSConnect and CignaforHCP provider portals will continue to be available through June 1, 2025 with their current capabilities. After June 1, you will need to use Availity Essentials for online transactional capabilities for patients with Cigna Healthcare Medicare Advantage coverage.

CignaforHCP will continue to be available for Cigna Healthcare commercial and Individual & Family Plans.
