New online claim attachment features now available on CignaforHCP.com

Cigna Healthcare® continues to enhance the Cigna for Healthcare Professionals portal (CignaforHCP.com) by leveraging technology and data to streamline your experience. Our latest updates to claim-related features reflect our commitment to delivering efficient, reliable, and digital-first solutions.

What’s new

Beginning November 3, enhancements to the online claim process will improve usability, accuracy, and your overall experience on the portal.

  • Improved reliability for pended claim attachments

Behind-the-scenes digital upgrades will help ensure successful submission of pended claim attachments, supporting timely review. These improvements reduce the likelihood of failed submissions and minimize the need for resubmissions.

  • Expanded claim attachment status details

New status indicators and descriptions provide clearer insights into where your attachments are in the review process. This added transparency helps reduce the need to call for updates and improves visibility into your claim’s progress.

Example:
On the Claim Screen, under the Supporting Information tab, users can now view whether attachments have been successfully submitted, passed to review, or rejected due to issues such as a computer virus or a corrupt file. See below for a sample screen shot of the updates.

File attachment requirements have not changed:

  • Up to six files per submission are acceptable
  • Maximum file size: 64 MB per file
  • Total page count must not exceed 999 pages
  • Accepted file types:.png, .bmp, .gif, .jpeg, .tif, .tiff, .pdf
